How to stop overthinking and start taking decisions
Overthinking destroy the ability to take good decisions in life. It increases the risk of mental illness and instability in life. It wecomes anxiety and depression. You must trigger out overthinking at an early stage.
If you can relate with following points then you are knowingly or unknowingly overthinking:
1. Hasitating in expressing your point of view. Keeping silence when you should take your stand. Avoiding discussions. Instead you keep fighting those fights in your mind.
2. Procastination become your habit. Being lazy in taking any decisions having perception for all situations. You have reason for everything. You think like you have superpowers and you can predict the Future but the fact is that the Future is unpredictable. None of your thoughts have power to change it.
3. You never agree with others. Having different point of view is okay but always arguing with others can be a sign that you have strong perception for every situation and you don't want to change your mind.
4. You are holding 10 years old grudges. It's okay to feel low about some things but keeping grudge in mind and reminding it to others is a sign that you are not letting go things. Once it is over we must try to move on but if we are stuck in that past we keep hurting ourselves every time we rewind it. So better to let go bitter memories and release negativity but if you can't make it happen then you must be overthinking.
5. Lack of activity is another clue that you are overthinking on any topic. You are afraid of taking any action because of its negative outcome although there is nothing which is risk free. You keep yourself stuck on fearing failure. You keeping pulling your leg back and stay inactive. Deep in your mind you keep chanting what if it goes wrong, how will I get back to normal.
6. Emotional outburst or frustration is another clue that your mind is overloaded with thoughts. You are flooded with many tasks. And it becomes viscous to reach any decision.
7. Lack of focus is because you have divided your mind in many areas where no clear instructions are made. Your mind is exhausted and you can't even sit calmly.
8. Feeling of guilt compell you to think that every wrong happens is because of you. Your mind engaged in finding and creating reasons that proves your fault.
Inshort you keep talking to yourself unnecessarily. The moment you get back to the point where you have had started you must realize it. It is endless cycle so what should you do to overcome.
1. Think every aspect impartiality all goods and bads jott down on a paper and decide one way.
2. It's not possible to have any clean and clear express way to your destination so make a mind to face challenges.
3. Keep a roadmap for your decision making plan. Don't depend on plan"A" remember the other alphabet to can have up to"Z".
And beyond it. Give endless try for finding solution.
4. Expand your point of view by listening to others. Have a look at it may be they are helpful for your growth. Welcome changes embarrass your old self.
5. Learn new skills. Keep yourself busy in productive thoughts and surround yourself with encouraging folk.
6. Decide and accept the outcome whole heatedly. Sometimes it's ok to fail. Give endless chances to your life because life is giving you a new chance everyday only death happens once.
7. Learn to discipline your day. Involve yourself in one task at a time to avoid overthinking. Be present in present moment.
8. Doing what you don't like makes life bore and dull even if it is necessary so give sometime absolutely free. Reward yourself for achievements. Celebrate life.
9. Trust almighty God and pray regularly. Believe his blessings and after putting all your efforts just let it be. He will take care of it.
10. Remember you should have proper workout, exercise in any form help body to relax and attain sound sleep. A good sleep help mind to recharge and it will help you to feel good.
11. Even if none of the above workout for you try to keep listening to positive tips and tricks because it will help your mind to program positively. In this case it will take little longer time to heal but you can if you wish and stay strong.
12. Try not to control everything. And actually the fact is nothing is in your control. You are only allowed to move forward and keep doing things and the results are unpredictable. So stop overthinking.
Try to be practical and sound logical. Try to accept facts and behave neutral. Keep thinking but to reach on some decisions not to get distracted. Analysis is must for good decisions but when we take it too seriously or when we want it to fit in our expectations it becomes overthinking. People overthinking when they try to find excuses but overthinking stops when they reach out logics. So analyse but don't emphasis.
